Following on from my post yesterday about the upcoming release of my fantasy novel, The Eynan, I heard back from the publisher pretty quickly after I queried the situation with its release on 7th July. He confirmed that everything was on track for the publication date; he was working on the cover art and my Editor was hard at it working through the manuscript. So, I feel much better now. Of course, still going to have lots of editing to do over the next few weeks:)
It’s all too easy to think a writer’s work is done when the words The End are typed, but in reality that is only the beginning of the hard work.

Any tips on finding the right publisher? I am working on a YA mystery right now and have no clue where to begin searching for an editor.
Hi Joe! It was difficult finding my first publisher – I also write under another pen name, and though this is my first release as L.S. Gibson I have been published since 2007 – I would always wish to offer any help I can to aspiring authors. I have no experience of YA myself, but two of the publishers I have worked with have YA sections.
1) Part of the MLR group, Featherweight Publishing, is open to submissions: http://www.featherweightpublishing.dom
2) Part of Torquere Press group, Prizmbooks, is also open for submissions: http://www.prizmbooks.com
Hope this helps:)
