Character interview with Jon, from QUESTOR

Questor_200x300I thought I would try something different and do an interview with Jon, the leading male character from my novel, QUESTOR. This is a new experience for me, hope it proves interesting for you:

Nice to meet you, Jon. Won’t you make yourself comfortable. Would you like a drink? Tea, coffee, fruit juice?

Thanks very much. A nice long cold drink would be very welcome.

Perhaps you could tell us a little about how you feel about your role in QUESTOR?

Hmm, that’s not an easy question to answer. It’s a complicated story and it’s fair to say my role perhaps made it more complicated. The crash on Rhiava was unavoidable and in no way do I blame myself for that. The Mideans played a crafty game placing that shield around the planet, but I expect you’re more interested in my relationship with the Rhiava, and most especially with Triena.

Well, yes. They prove to be a very interesting race and she certainly was an intriguing young woman.

Intriguing? Yes that’s a good way to describe her. I kept thinking I knew her and then I would find I’d only uncovered one layer and there was so more to discover. But that just made me more fascinated. She was not only beautiful, but smart and determined. And loyal, so loyal.

You risked much for her.

True, but she repaid the favour, time and again. There’s no use trying to skirt around the subject is there? I love her and I’d do anything for her. She knew it and she showed me she felt the same. She knew her people wouldn’t really approve but…

Are you all right?

I guess so. Love comes with a price and you have to be willing to pay it.

And you are?

I did.

Great idea! I assume a longer interview would reveal too much plot. PS: the book is still on my backlog – I am a slow reader!

Yeah, I wanted to give a hint of some conflict without giving away details:) I do hope you enjoy the story when you eventually read it. Luckily I’m not a slow reader or I struggle to have time for reading which I love!

I love reading, and will try some blog reviews too, so watch out for that. Unfortunately my Dad’s book has jumped the queue!

Damn it, pushed back in the queue behind dad’s book LOL! Keep my eye out for eventual review – fingers crossed:)

I’m working on tactics to speed up – I think I can write faster than I read. Go figure!

I don’t think many of us can say that!

….I type with one finger 😉

        LOL! That might explain it:)
